The Level 6 Trinity College London Diplomas

This is the graduating (final) year fully recognised educational qualification, regulated by Ofqual. A student would need to be Approved for Prior Learning to be able to enrol at this level. The student would need to complete the Performance Course as part of their final year training, so would need to enrol onto this course from the beginning of the academic year. This course at full fee charge also includes either private tuition in Singing and Acting.

LEVEL 6 PROFESSIONAL DIPLOMA IN MUSICAL THEATRE (PDMT)

Summary of the course:

The PDMT pathway covers all the subjects required for those wishing to achieve a career in Musical Theatre such as Singing, Acting, Jazz Dance, Contemporary Dance, Tap, Ballet and Musical Theatre History. Achieving technical excellence and high standard performance quality is the primary aim of the Course. The course is supplemented by classes in Voice, Core Strengthening through Body Management classes, Musicianship, Workshops and Contextual Studies. The training and study at Millennium has its focus on the full development of each individual student. Millennium devotes time and energy to recognise and meet individual needs and aspirations. The diploma courses centre on a programme of professional level work-based practice designed to ensure graduates are fully prepared for their chosen career. The key subject elements are taught by highly experienced industry professionals, who also have expertise for teaching and developing skills in students.

Training module duration is 6 months.

Performance Course duration is 3 months. 

Typically, this course would start at the end of August and would complete early the following June.

The PDD pathway covers all major dance techniques. Those choosing this pathway will be given the opportunity to develop their Ballet, Contemporary Dance and Jazz Dance techniques. The timetable will also feature supplementary techniques such as Commercial Jazz, Tap, Partnering, Core strengthening through Body Management classes, Vocal Skills, Workshops and Contextual Studies, which are needed to achieve a career in Dance. The training and study at Millennium has its focus on the full development of each individual student. Millennium devotes time and energy to recognise and meet individual needs and aspirations. The diploma courses centre on a programme of professional level work-based practice designed to ensure graduates are fully prepared for their chosen career. The key subject elements are taught by highly experienced industry professionals, who also have expertise for teaching and developing skills in students.

CERTIFICATE OF HIGHER EDUCATION EQUIVALENT
LEVEL 4 ON THE QUALIFICATIONS and CREDIT FRAMEWORK

All those for whom educational qualifications mean nothing because all you want to do is perform, for you we now have the level 4 qualification: a performance related exam which crucially gives you the status of a Level 4 qualification!

The course is centred around public performances towards the end of the term.

These shows will be in an off-West End venue; so close to the big buzz of the West End, you can almost touch it!

These Trinity College London qualifications are accredited in England, Wales and Northern Ireland by Ofqual, WAG and CCEA respectively and also have recognition in a number of other countries. Students train in Musical Theatre and/or Dance Performance, preparing them for the professional world.

During the term you will cover the main skills of Performing and audition preparation by expert teachers, directors and practitioners. Practical lectures and advice in the business are also included so you are kept up-to-date with current industry requirements and practice, such as Professional CV writing, Professional Headshots and visits or online sessions with Professionals.

A unique venue in Central London The Steiner House is a grade II listed building with a beautiful studio theatre, large foyer and several studios and lecture rooms. Most classes will be held in this building.

QUALIFICATION

Your practical exam is an ATCL Performing Qualification in (Musical Theatre) or (Performance Arts) (equivalent to a Certificate of Higher Education). You will be assessed, graded and awarded for your qualification by Trinity College London. Your examination day will be held in the Millennium Exam Centre in London or will be an online submission of material. We will guide you to the best choice out of these option for you.
